The wired backhaul connection will establish a more reliable connection among the meshes. Benefited from it, the mesh WiFi network will be more stable.
In most cases, the wired backhaul connection of the mesh is as shown in the picture. Please follow the steps to complete the connection.
Step 1: Connect your modem to the main point’s WAN port using an Internet cable.
Step 2: Connect the hidden Ethernet cable throughout your house to the switch.
Note: If your house doesn't have Ethernet wiring, this method may not be suitable for your situation.
Step 3: Connect the main point’s LAN port to the switch using an Internet cable.
Step 4: Connect the rest secondary point to the switch using an Internet cable.
It is to say that one side of the Internet cable connects to the network panel, and the other side of the Internet cable connects to the secondary point’s WAN/LAN port.
Note:
1. Please note that the main Meshforce point will act as a NAT router by default.
2. Please set up the Meshforce points on the same network at first through the My Mesh app before you wired them together.
3. Please ensure there are no other DHCP servers behind the main Meshforce point. Otherwise, it will cause other Meshforce points to get an invalid IP address that doesn't have internet access.
